Son Doesn’t Call Mom After Leaving For College, So She Posts Video Asking If He Forgot About Her

When I went away to school I used to be most likely within the minority of scholars who known as their mother nearly each single day. Unlike myself, a brand new school freshman named Liam McCarney was enthusiastic about his newfound freedom.

When his mother Ann realized it had been three weeks since she heard her son’s voice since he went off to school, she uploaded a video for her son on September 16, 2015. But the video wasn’t her crying about lacking her son. Nope, she sarcastically requested her son if he had forgotten who she was.

“Hi, do you remember me? I’m your mommy?” she says in her video. “Do you remember that was me that gave you life?”

Ann posted the video for her son on Facebook and has over three.5 million views within the two years it’s been up. “I haven’t heard from you in a while and I thought maybe you forgot about me,” the mother continues in her video message. “Let me joggle your memory a little bit.”

She then goes onto remind him that he was once connected to her hip as a child. “When you’re in your dorm at night do you ever lay there and think, ‘Wow, I wonder who fed me for the first 18 years of my life?’”

But Liam was there to defend himself. “It went by really fast,” he says of his first few weeks away at school. “So, it didn’t really feel like a lot of time since I last talked to her.”

Mom’s video labored as a result of Liam felt the guilt and promised that he would begin calling her extra typically when he was in school.
