Stranded Octopus Rescued By Humans. Next Day, It Returns To Beach To Say Thanks.

Did scientists have discovered octopuses can acknowledge human faces?

In a research in 2010, 2 people commonly visited a gaggle of eight octopuses. One individual would (gently) poke them with a stick and the opposite would feed them every time. After 2 weeks, the octopuses reacted completely different to the people, reaching their arms out in direction of the one who commonly fed them and shifting away from the one who’d irritated them.

But it seems, feeding or poking it aren’t the one methods to get an octopus to recollect your face.

YouTube consumer Helena posted a video of a loopy encounter she had with an octopus within the purple sea. “While walking along a lovely beach, we saw a stranded octopus in the sand,” she wrote. “We were not sure if he [was] already dead. So we pushed him back into the water. He needed some minutes to recover, then he swam away.”

The loopy half got here the following day when Helena visited the seashore once more.

The similar octopus swam as much as Helena and acknowledged her as his rescuer. He stayed with Helena for over an hour, reaching out his tentatcles to the touch her ft and swimming alongside her.
