Conjoined twins sharing the identical coronary heart had zero survival probability. Look at them after being ‘separated’

When medical doctors realized that this Florida mother was carrying twins conjoined on the chest, they advised the dad and mom that the infants wouldn’t reside. Surprisingly, the twins survived separation, regardless of all odds, whereas medical doctors have been shocked by their wonderful restoration.

Jacquelyn and her companion, Mark, have been advised by medical doctors 20 weeks into her being pregnant that she was carrying twins conjoined on the coronary heart, liver, sternum, and diaphragm and that the twins wouldn’t survive, as a result of they each shared the identical coronary heart.

Two months later, the twins underwent the separation process after the medical doctors had practiced the surgical procedure on a 3D printout. The virtually eight-hour operation was a hit and, afterward, the twins have been placed on air flow machines for six weeks.

During a UF Health information convention after the operation, Jacquelyn stated: “the girls are doing great.”

“They are such strong fighters,” she stated in her weblog.

Seeing the twins efficiently separated, Dr. Mark Bleiweis, director of UF Heart Congenital Heart Center, stated, “Every day you go in there and see the babies in separate cribs. It’s phenomenal.”

“Their recovery has been astronomical. We’ve been meeting with the family since before they were born so we’ve developed a really good relationship,” Dr. Bleiweis advised MailOnline.
