Couple Turns Pregnancy Announcement into a Mini Horror Movie

Whatever happened to surprising your partner with a positive pregnancy test or posting a a cute photo to Instagram to let the world know you’re family is growing?

Gavin and Judy Holt have taken a very different route to tell the world they’re having a baby. Just in time for the Halloween season, the couple filmed a faux horror movie trailer, because nothing says “We’re pregnant!” like scaring the pants off your friends and family.

From the moment the lighthearted music shifts, you can tell this isn’t going to be your typical pregnancy reveal video. Following an extremely creepy shot of the mom-to-be rubbing her stomach in the driveway at night (What?! Go watch some Netflix in bed!), Judy nonchalantly notes, “I can feel it growing inside of me. What’s happening to me?”

Cue the goosebumps … and not in a good way.

What a difference some well-placed music makes, changing the usually sweet ultrasound experience of hearing the baby’s heartbeat into a fear-inducing “What’s going to happen next?” moment. And we love the subtle “there’s something in the oven” references — even if they do make us a bit squeamish.
