Ryan Reynolds Is Every Dad Trying to Put Together an IKEA Crib

It turns out Ryan Reynolds is human after all!

In a recently posted video from GQ, Reynolds struggles to put together an IKEA crib, something all parents can relate to. We know Reynolds to be a relatively private guy, spending time with his 9-month-old daughter James and wife Blake Lively out of the public eye, so this is a side of him we’re definitely enjoying.

He goes through the usual motions of building IKEA furniture: opening the box, deciding this will be “easy,” then falling into turmoil. The clip shows Ryan calling up customer service, explaining there is no issue with the crib … except that it hasn’t been assembled.

He continues on to say,”Besides a slow descent into alcoholism, I’m just really having trouble finding all the screws and the pieces that go with it.”

We have never agreed with Reynolds more. Seriously, have you ever counted how many tiny metal pieces come within a box of IKEA furniture?! It’s madness. Which is why we totally understand when the new dad forgoes the whole process and duct tapes the crib together instead.

When it comes to assembling baby furniture, the struggle is very real.
