Most Popular Baby Names of 2016 Revealed

Sophia and Jackson have continued their reign as the most popular baby names for another year, says the official report from BabyCenter. Sophia has held the top spot since 2010, and Jackson has been the top boy name since 2013.

The website determined the top 100 most popular baby names after surveying nearly 400,000 parents. Similar sounding names with different spellings (such as Sophia and Sofia) are combined in this list.

Rounding out the top five for baby girl names are Emma, Olivia, Ava, and Mia. Joining Jackson at the top for boy names are Aiden, Lucas, Liam, and Noah.

4. Ava
5. Mia
6. Isabella
7. Riley
8. Aria
9. Zoe
10. Charlotte

Top 10 baby names for boys:

1. Jackson
2. Aiden
