To you, we say thank you for everything you’ve done, and for everything you will do, for not only your children, but our country.

You Make Unique, and Difficult, Sacrifices

All parents make sacrifices, and all parents undergo the fatigue and stress of raising a child. For that reason, every parent deserves recognition. For the purpose of this article, though, we want to point out the unique sacrifices that military mothers, and their families, make.

Mothers who are in the military themselves face specific strains that others do not, including raising their children in a less than ideal environment and often without the immediate, close-in-proximity support of family and friends. They make this sacrifice for their country, and still raise their children to be amazing people.

Mothers whose partners are in the military also undergo their own stresses and hardships. Having a father thousands of miles away is never easy, no matter the age of the child. But again, this is done with a deliberateness and a dedication to our country, and military mothers make it work. That deserves a proper salute.

You Rock Those Military Maternity Outfits

We’re looking at you, with-child moms serving in the military.

Wearing maternity clothes is a right in and of itself for those with child. These outfits usually involve flowing frocks, pastels, lace and plenty of baubles and accessories. But military moms? They take that traditional, army green military ensemble to a whole new level. Keep rocking that outfit, moms-to-be, and know that we think you look downright amazing.

You’re Extraordinarily Patient

Everyone has their break downs, military moms included. But there’s a certain level of patience required of military mothers that others may not necessarily understand.

Mothers with partners away for months, and years, at a time, possess the kind of patience worthy of a medal. And mothers who are actively enrolled in the military while raising their children take parenting to a place that we didn’t know possible. You are unbelievable!

You Make the Most of Your Time 

Because you don’t get as much of it, military moms and families, in particular, understand just how important quality time spent together with your child, and with your family, is. You understand that time is a gift, and as such, you set an example for the rest of us.

Thank you for reminding us to make the most of our time, and for reminding us that we should soak up every minute we have with our families. Through you, we are able to realize that even those quiet and unassuming moments are a blessing.

You Protect and Serve Us

Perhaps the most important of all is this: the protection we gain from your services. We thank you for your efforts, military mothers and parents. We thank you for your dedication, for your sacrifices and for your devotion to our country. What you do for everyone, at a sacrifice to yourself, does not go unnoticed.

It is because of you that our freedom and safety – and our future generations’ freedom and safety — remain intact. We pay you utmost respect, and thank you wholly from the bottom of our hearts.
