Big Brother Holds Newborn Twins For The First Time And Refuses To Let Go

Some of the most powerful bonds in life begin when we’re at our most fragile, like these tiny twins who had just emerged from a neonatal intensive care unit.

No sooner did they get home than their older brother, a toddler, gathered them into his arms — and would not let go.

Mom captured their first meeting in this touching video, talking gently, sometimes playfully, with the toddler.

“You want me to take the babies?” she asks, but he doesn’t seem to hear her. Maybe it’s because this little boy has a bundle of love pressed up to each ear.

We’ve seen some pretty stellar instances of sibling love, like this little girl who crawls into bed to kiss her baby brother for the first time, or this boy who can’t control his excitement to have a brother. But they, at least, eventually let go of their new siblings.

“You want me to take the babies?” Mom repeats in the video, and finally, the boy stirs from his spell.

“No, I take the babies,” he says resolutely.

Now Mom’s just testing this boy’s patience.

“Now, you want me to take him,” she asks, reaching for them again.

“No!”

“OK, OK,” I won’t.

We don’t know the point at which this toddler finally let his mom hold the twins, but we do know, no matter where the road in life leads, these twins are always going to have big brother looking out for them.
