Posted by Youtuber Eryn06 within the fall of 2014, the video reveals two cats watching from a distance as an enormous raccoon lumbers down her porch, then shadowing him like ninjas as he makes his method down the steps to forage within the yard. Neither the raccoon nor the cats belong to Eryn06. The raccoon is blind and no less than 5 years outdated, which she is aware of as a result of that’s how lengthy he’d been stopping by her yard, apparently viewing it as a sort of buffet.

“He often returns for seconds and sometimes comes back for thirds. His bottom lip is missing so we feed him soft pasta noodles soaked in cream of chicken soup,” she wrote. “We often cut up small pieces of hot dogs, ham, pork, etc.”

That fall, two black kittens seemingly popped up out of nowhere and took an instantaneous liking to the disabled masked marauder. So they determined to observe over him as he went via his each day routine.

Okay, effectively perhaps there was extra to it than that …

“They would magically appear when he would come for food,” Eryn06 wrote. “So they figured out that Blind Raccoon = FOOD. So they would appear when the Blind Raccoon (and sometimes other raccoons) would show up.”

Either method, the video under captures an unlikely friendship between two species that usually view one another as competitors.
