At 32 weeks, Elizabeth Herzog’s daughter Georgia was born untimely, weighing a mere three.5 lbs.

Recently, the first-time mother introduced Georgia, now 5 months outdated, to an Iowa restaurant. During her meal, she started breastfeeding her daughter like she usually does. Only this time, she was left feeling embarrassed and humiliated by the employees.

Since Georgia is especially fragile, she doesn’t prefer to cowl the child’s face with a nursing blanket.

According to Iowa regulation, “a woman may breastfeed the woman’s own child in any public place where the woman’s presence is otherwise authorized.”

Elizabeth is effectively conscious of the stigmas connected to breastfeeding in public however is hoping tales like hers will deliver extra acceptance.

“I’m doing the best I can, and I realize to some people it might look a little weird. And I realize, to some people, they might be shocked by it. But all I’m trying to do is nurse my infant,” she informed WQAD.

Elizabeth was sitting at her desk and breastfeeding her child when the supervisor approached her. He tapped her on the shoulder and mentioned one thing that made the mom stand up and go away.
