This Is the Coolest Gender Reveal We’ve Seen Yet

Here at Babble, we’ve seen our fair share of pregnancy and gender reveal videos. From the dad of four girls who fainted when he found out he was having a boy, to the blind taste test challenge this mom pulled on her husband — it’s officially a thing to go viral for how you share your baby news. Which means that parents-to-be are continually upping the ante and coming up with new and more creative ways to announce their big news.

And one woman from South Dakota has done just that.

Mom-to-be Amanda Parrish asked hair stylist Amber Sacrison of Salon One in Rapid City, South Dakota to surprise her with the gender of her baby by dyeing her hair (blue for a boy, pink for a girl). The suspense of waiting for her hair to be unveiled and then seeing her reaction? Well, you’ll just have to experience that one yourself, because it’s pretty fantastic.

While the video was originally posted back in November 2015, it’s only going viral now and currently has over 8 million views on Facebook.
