Mom Crush Monday: Reese Witherspoon

An actress, a mother, a fashion designer, a production company owner, and a classic southern belle, we’re not sure there’s anyone we adore more than Reese Witherspoon.

We’ve loved watching her in classic films like Legally Blonde and Sweet Home Alabama and have equally enjoyed watching her take on challenging roles like in Wild. However, Reese isn’t just a Hollywood gem.

She’s been married to husband Jim Toth since 2011, whom is the father to her youngest son, Tennessee, 3. She is also mother to Ava, 16, and Deacon, 12, from her previous marriage to Cruel Intentions co-star Ryan Phillippe.

She was recently awarded Glamour’s Woman of the Year, proving that we’re not the only ones charmed by the great Reese Witherspoon.

For this week’s Mom Crush Monday, we rounded up Witherspoon’s take on parenting, striving for your dreams, friendship, and more.

In an interview with Jenna Bush, Reese Witherespoon said:

“I think you love your kids with your whole heart, and you do the best you possibly can. … There are some sacrifices you make, and it hurts your heart sometimes, but my kids tell me they’re proud of what I’ve accomplished, and that just means everything. I grew up with a working mom, and I have so much respect for the things she did as a nurse and a teacher. I would never begrudge her that.”

On how to survive Monday mornings …

On her Southern pride …

Witherspoon admitted, “I don’t know a weak Southern woman. My mom says if you want something done, then ask a Southern woman. There are a lot of old ideas about the South, but it’s a different time. I’m excited about the new South.”
